Information technology plays an important role in the process of search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM). Accordingly, the industry has a wide variety of positions to offer, including Internet advertising coordinator, SEO adviser, Internet advertising associate, Internet advertising sales executive, Internet advertising campaign manager, Internet marketing specialist, 3D artist, outside Internet advertising sales rep, account executive, Internet agent, Internet advertising consultant, senior Internet marketing associate, director, graphic designer, and animation specialist, among others.The companies which actively recruit for online advertising professionals are IT companies, websites, advertising agencies, search engine companies, and the like. Some employers may want applicants to have a bachelor's degree. Proficiency with the use computers and the ability to make use of online tools is essential. Web research skills may also be required for some positions.
