on the team's website following the season, Allen opened up about the current state of affairs, calling it a "new chapter in Trail Blazers basketball."

Prior to the season, the normally reclusive Allen

about his vacant general manager position, his expectations for the upcoming season and his transition to a more fiscally responsible owner under the new CBA.

"As an owner, you really want to do the team right, the fans right, and the community right and build a winning organization,"

. "So I've invested a lot, but the crazy luxury tax days and all those things, those are gone. Those are gone ... There's no enjoyment to losing money."

The Blazers have now been without a general manager for a full year (Rich Cho was fired May 23, 2011) and the

in an effort to fill the position before the June 28 NBA draft.

The Blazers enter their most important summer in years with vacancies at both GM and head coach, potentially two lottery picks, ample salary cap space and plenty of important decisions to make as Allen oversees the rebuild.
