Load Cells
We offer a variety of load cells to meet your application needs. We have load cells for push or compression forces, pull or tension forces or universal load cells that can measure push or pull, compression and/or tension forces. Some are through hole load cells, some are miniature load cells, some are s-beams and some single point load cells. You need to pick a load cell that meets your accuracy, size, off center loading, temperature conditions and cost constraints. Take a quick visual look at the ones shown below and identify a few that looks right to you and then explore the details further.

FAQ
Loadstar Sensors offers force, weight, torque, displacement, pressure, and impact force sensors with analog and digital outputs and software to display, log and plot data.
Loadstar Sensors is a wholly owned unit of YPoint Capital, Inc. We have over 10,000 customers in 85+ countries and have over 20 issued patents. We are located in the heart of Silicon Valley in Fremont, CA.
Loadstar Sensors offers both analog and digital interfaces or signal conditioners to connect our sensors to computers (PCs or Tablet computers) or programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Digital Interface options include UART, USB, WiFi, Bluetooth (BLE) and XBee (802.15.4) outputs. Analog Interface options include 0-5 or 0-10 VDC voltage output and 4-20 mA current outputs.
We offer sensors such as load cells standalone without any calibration, or a sensor with low level (mV/V) calibration, or calibrated sensor kits with digital outputs for easy connectivity with PCs or Tablets or calibrated sensor kits with analog outputs for easy connectivity with PLCs.
Yes! We offer both calibration of our sensors and load cells at the time of purchase as well as periodic recalibration services later when needed. Although we are not ISO Certified, we use NIST traceable reference equipment and high quality calibration procedures to provide you with trustable calibration with a calibration certificate at no cost to you.
We offer several different versions of software to help you display sensor data. LoadVUE Lite software displays force/weight on a Windows 8/10 PC/Tablet, on a MacOS, or on a Raspberry Pi. The LoadVUE Pro software allows you to display, log & plot force/weight data, recalibrate sensors, and get remote support on a Win 8/10/11 PC. SensorVUE extends support to an unlimited number of sensors as well as all types of sensors we offer. ControlVUE software extends the functionality offered by SensorVUE and adds the ability to control external devices based on sensor values through a USB Relay with one to eight channel. LoadVUE Pro, SensorVUE and ControlVUE are available only on a Windows 8/10/11 platform currently. You can review all available Software options under the Products/Software menu option.
Our sensors and interfaces allow you to write your own code as well! We also offer customization and custom software development services to meet your specific needs!
No! The sensor must be mated with an interface and calibrated together before use. We normally apply matching serial numbers to the sensor and the interface when calibrated together to indicate the matching pair. When you use an interface with multiple ports, each port must be mated with and calibrated together and used in that configuration.
We generally require pre-payment before processing your order based on our Payment Policy. You can pay with a credit card, ACH, or Wire Transfer. We have a credit card and ACH processing fee of approx. 3.5% of the order total. There is a $40 fee for domestic wires and a $65 fee for international wires. You can also pay by check for no charge, but please note that we do not begin processing your order until we receive the check.
We accept POs; please contact us for your order.
Per our Software Policy, you can download our software up to one PC or tablet per license. If you want to use the software on a different computer, you need to purchase another software license.
We can provide the reinstall link for the software within 12 months from your purchase. If your last purchase was more than a year ago, you need to repurchase the software.
We give you a 30 day guarantee for you purchase. Please refer to our Returns and Refunds Policy and contact us if you face any issues with your product(s).
Any calibration service fees, shipping and payment fees cannot be refunded.
We generally need two weeks to ship your order for items in stock. This is because we have to make your sensor, interface, and calibrate them together, make sure the quality meets all specs, and then pack and ship it to you. If we are out of stock or if sensors are needed in high volume, we could take 4-6 weeks or longer. If you just need a load cell with no calibration, we can ship your order sooner.
We offer expedited processing options if you are in a rush and need to get sensors sooner. We offer 1 week ($100), 3 day ($150), 1 day ($250), and same day ($500) expedited processing options per sensor under 10K lbs. For sensors over 10K lbs, we offer 1 week expedited processing for $350 per sensors. The expedited processing fee is separate from the shipping fee.
